Innovations in Civic Participation and the MasterCard Foundation Partner on Research Study Focused on National Youth Service Programs in Sub-Saharan Africa

Innovations in Civic Participation (ICP) and The MasterCard Foundation are undertaking a research study to assess how National Youth Service (NYS) programs in Sub-Saharan Africa can better prepare young people for the workforce.  The study, titled “National Youth Service in Sub-Saharan Africa: Strengthening NYS as a Strategy for Youth Employability, Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Livelihoods”, will produce greater knowledge on how NYS programs can be designed as a youth development and employment tool, build a network of NYS staff, policy makers and practitioners foc

PASCAL and the DST/NRF SARChI Development Education Trajectory 2013

At UNISA in Pretoria where the SARCHI chair hosts PASCAL, the Centre will focus its research on Restorative Action. Restorative Action uses Indigenous Knowledge Systems as an approach to opening up the gridlock in epistemology between the West and the “Others” going forward. For its part, Restorative Justice consolidates transdisciplinarity as an approach to discourse, practice and thought. New Project - Innovation in Higher Education

LSE Enterprise, the consulting arm of the London School of Economics, and Panteia, a policy research group based in the Netherlands, are conducting a study on Innovation in Higher Education on behalf of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission.
