The ASEM LLL Hub Regional Centre for South Asia is going to co-organise an exciting conference and release a Declaration on Lifelong Learning for South Asian Stakeholders in January 2025. The Conference: Lifelong Learning for a Sustainable Future: Environment. Economy. Society. 6-8 January 2025 at Kochi, Kerala, India, will be co-organised with the Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology, India and the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment, UAE.

The Conference is the most important highlight of the ASEM Chair’s South Asia Mission 2024-2025 aimed at engaging all stakeholders from within and outside South Asia who are interested in promoting Lifelong Learning in the region.

Apart from the usual conference activities including paper presentations, workshops, symposia, panel discussions and interesting keynotes, the conference will showcase traditional knowledge from the host country, India like Yoga, Ayurveda, Vastu and include interesting experiences like Martial Arts and Katthakali. On 8th January, 2025 (third day of the conference), there will be a Lifelong Learning Festival including various aspects of everyday learning to celebrate and value learning outside formal learning environments.

You are warmly invited to take part in the Conference as a participant or to organise an initiative. You can access the conference website here: https://sites.google.com/view/lifelonglearningconference/home.
