Knowledge Exchange Associate - SDGs in Urban Settings, Glasgow, Scotland

A new post as a Knowledge Exchange Associate, working within the College of Social Sciences (CoSS) Research Support Office at the University of Glasgow is now available. The post holder will be responsible for the identification, development and implementation of new collaborative Knowledge Exchange (KE) opportunities for the Inequalities and Sustainable Development in Low- and Middle-Income Country (LMIC) Cities research group, under the supervision of Professors Sayantan Ghosal, Michael Osborne, Fabrice Renaud and Alastair Leyland.

Learning City Webinar Series 2020 | UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL)

A record number of children and youth are not attending school or university because of temporary or indefinite closures mandated by governments in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. Considering the deterioration of the situation, globally, it can be expected that coping with the crisis will increasingly constitute a major challenge for cities, including in education.

Two webinars have been organized by the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning to support members of the GNLC at this difficult time. By participating, cities can share and learn about measures taken at different stages of the emergence of COVID-19. It was a pleasure to host Professor Michael Osborne, Director of CR&DALL and European Director of PASCAL, back to Hume as a keynote speaker at the February meeting of the Hume Jobs and Skills Task Force.

Smart Learning Cities Forum - Melbourne, 26 Feb, 2020

To coincide with the visit of Professor Mike Osborne to the European Union Centre, RMIT University Melbourne, the Australian Learning Communities Network (ALCN), Adult Learning Australia (ALA), the European Union Centre, RMIT University, the City of Wyndham and the City of Melton collaborated on a Smart Learning Cities Forum.
