The Annual Conference is the high point of the UALL year, and we are pleased that the 2018 Conference will be held at Downing College, Cambridge, between Wednesday 21 and Friday 23 March.

The theme of Opportunities for lifelong learning in a changing world has strands addressing the context of lifelong learning which enhances local, regional and global development. The Conference will combine plenary and workshop sessions, and proposals are invited for papers and poster sessions – for details of this event, please see the flyer featured below and attached for download.

The Conference will start on the Wednesday afternoon; an informal buffet will be held in the evening at which we welcome all our delegates, international members and guests to Cambridge.  This will be followed by two days conference and will finish on Friday afternoon with a tour of Cambridge, followed by tea at Madingley Hall, University of Cambridge, Institute of Continuing Education.  The Drinks Reception and Conference Dinner will be held on the Thursday evening in the Great Hall at Downing College.

Presenters will have the opportunity to submit full papers for consideration for publication.  A selection of the Conference papers will be published in a special issue of the international journal Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning (Open University).

I very much hope you will be able to join us, and I would be grateful if you could circulate details of our conference to your colleagues and to anyone within your institution who may be interested in joining us.  Full details can also be found on our website at: www.uall.ac.uk

I look forward to seeing you in Cambridge.
