PASCAL delegation welcomed in Taiwan

PASCAL was delighted to be hosted on March 11th by the Speaker of Hsinchu City Council in Taiwan, Hsiu-Jui Hsu at his offices. Professors Michael Osborne and Roberta Piazza were able to discuss the outcomes of a recent study, using PASCAL tools, led by Eugenia Chang, Principal of Datong Community College and Marten Ma of Yuanpei, University of Medical Technology concerning the contribution of that university to the development of the city.

We were also pleased that Morris Lu, M.P., former legislator of the Taiwanese parliament and Councillor Tan Yun Chang were also able to join us for the entirety of the meeting. All agreed that the process had been a very useful one, and had proved to be helpful in mapping the university’s contribution especially in the health field. Later in the day we were able to evidence this contribution at the university when visiting a number of health and exercise related facilities run for the community.
