Invitation to UDN webinar series ‘Urban Innovative Actions, achievements and perspectives’.

Received recently from UDN, an invitation to their upcoming webinar series:

On behalf of the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission and the Permanent Secretariat of Urban Innovative Actions (UIA), we invite you to join us in the upcoming UDN webinar series ‘Urban Innovative Actions, achievements and perspectives’.

UDN Webinars

The Urban Development Network and the UIA will join forces in this series of 3 webinars taking you through the Urban Innovative Actions Initiative’s achievements and perspectives for the future. With 86 projects across 20 European Member States, UIA is enabling cities to test innovative solutions and develop evidence-based urban policies.

At a point in time when the preparation of Cohesion policy programmes 2021/27 enters in a decisive phase, and the New Leipzig Charter has been adopted by Member States, this series comes as an ideal occasion to gather Cohesion Policy stakeholders to take stock of what the UIA has achieved so far, its contributions to Cohesion Policy, and its future under the European Urban Initiative 2021/27.

More specifically, the webinar series will focus on 3 main questions:

  • Session 1: UIA Achievements. UIA, what has been achieved so far? 03 February 2021
  • Session 2: UIA & Cohesion Policy. Bridging UIA & Cohesion policy: how to optimise UIA added value? 10 February 2021
  • Session 3: Future UIA. What comes next as a new model for innovative actions under the European Urban Initiative for 2021-27? 17 February 2021

We kindly ask you to circulate this invitation widely to relevant members of your network interested in designing and implementing new innovative projects and strategies that contribute to a Europe that is Smarter, Greener, more Connected, more Social and closer to citizens.

Join us as we explore the urban lab of Europe!
