PASCAL Special Interest Group - Public Sector Interface

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) were agreed by the PASCAL Board as part of a recent review of PASCAL structures in order to give focus to the advice required by the Board in particular areas of its work; PASCAL is therefore now establishing a series of these SIGs.

Taipei delegation to attend PASCAL 2016 Conference - Information on Learning Neighbourhoods in Taipei

I am pleased to inform subscribers of PASCAL that the city of Taipei will be sending a delegation of 14 to Glasgow for the upcoming 13th PASCAL International Conference, June 3-5, 2016. We look forward to meeting other cities as well as discovering more about the other learning cities and the Scottish education system.

The Role of Higher Education Institutions in Addressing the Mitigation and Adaptation Challenges

The historical agreement reached by 195 governments at the 21st Conference of the Parties of the UN Convention on Climate Change (COP 21) in Paris on 12th December 2015, is a turning point in respect of global efforts to tackle climate change. The mandate to all countries in the world is clear: we need concerted efforts, action and investments towards a low carbon, resilient and sustainable future.

On Monday, 7 December 2015, a side event highlighting experiences and achievements of the compact of mayors; the world's largest coalition on local climate action was organized by Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) and the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).
