The Vancouver Learning City (VLC) is an informal coalition of individuals and organizations for whom curiosity and lifelong learning is a way of life.  We love being a part of a city where people are curious, engaged, and open to learning new things -- whatever those things might be.  Capturing our own imaginations and pushing our own boundaries helps us all live more fulfilling lives. Being open to learning is the bedrock of our well-being and quality of life - as individuals, in our families and communities, socially and culturally, and economically.

The VLC encourages Vancouverites to discover and express our natural curiousity, to follow the urge to explore whatever ideas, skills, and experiences matter to us.  Genuine, open-minded curiousity cuts across all our differences and gives us something we can recognize and value and respect in one another.  

Vancouver is an amazing city - breathtakingly beautiful, spectacularly diverse, and full of energy and opportunity.  Vancouverites are an adventurous, open-minded, and compassionate city.  Ours is a community that makes learning safe, exhilerating, and worthwhile.
