I am CEO for the Jamtli Foundation - a heritage organization in Sweden since 2001 (www.jamtli.com), and co-founder for The Nordic Centre of Heritage Learning & Creativity since 2005 (www.nckultur.org) – a R&D organization for learning through heritage engagement. I am guest professor in heritage learning and regional development at Linköping University since 2010, associate of Pascal Observatory since 2007, appointed expert on culture and adult education since 2011 by the European Commission, associate of European Expert Network on Culture since 2012 and expert at the European Museum Academy since 2014. I am member of the board for several organizations among which Culture Action Europe since 2010, European Access to Culture Platform 2008-2011 and regional representative in the board of the European Association of Regional and Local Authorities on Lifelong Learning 2011-2013. I am even coordinator of the network Lifelong Learning in Open Air Museums since 2002 and chair of the Swedish organization of Open Air Museums the same year. I hold a masters degree in history from University of Copenhagen 1985 and a PhD degree in education and history from The Danish University of Education 1996. I was director of Farum Archives and Museums – a municipal organization in Denmark including the Immigration Museum for Denmark 1987-2001, external lecturer at University at Copenhagen 1997-2001 in local history and immigrant history. I was external examination controller for master students in adult education at The Danish University of Education 1997-2009 and for master students in social sciences at Roskilde University 1998-2009. I have published academic studies on collective learning processes and immigration history and in recent years primarily published research on heritage learning applied on issues such as early school leavers, the ageing population, untraditional creative partnerships and instrumental heritage.
